Representative Tom Hackbarth, Chair of the Environment & Natural Resources Policy Committee, called the twenty-sixth meeting to order at 4:02 p.m. on March 9, 2006, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Penas moved the adoption of the minutes of the Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee dated March 2, 2006.

4:03:09 PM HF2619 (Davids) Deer hunting license surcharge imposed to offset the cost of processing deer donated for charitable purposes and money appropriated.

The Chair moved that HF2619 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.

Rep. Davids explained the bill.

4:30:27 PM MN Deer Hunters Assoc., Tom Keliher, testified in opposition to the bill.
4:37:45 PM Roger Hauck, Little Canada - private citizen, deer hunter testified on the bill
4:39:14 PM The Chair renewed his motion that HF2619 be passed, as amended, without recommendation to the committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.

4:40:15 PM HF2972 (Tingelstad) Legislative Commission on Minnesota Resources renamed, modified to include citizens and money appropriated.

Rep. Tingelstad moved that HF2972 be recommended to pass and be
re-ferred to the committee on Agriculture, Environment & Natural Resources Finance.
4:40:44 PM Rep. Tingelstad moved the A1 amendment.
