MINUTES



Representative Sheldon Johnson, Chair of the Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division, called the tenth meeting to order at 8:36 A.M. on February 19, 2010, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Johnson called the meeting to order at 8:36 A.M. A quorum was present.


Representative Johnson moved approval of HF170 be recommended to pass and sent to the Commerce and Labor committee.


HF170 (Gardner) Residents allowed to decline delivery of local telephone directories.


Representative Gardner moved approval of amendment H0170DE3.
The amendment was adopted.

Representative Gardner moved an oral amendment on line 1.7 of the DE3, after directory
Insert ", unless a customer requests delivery of a directory"
The oral amendment was incorporated.

Testimony was given by:

Representative Johnson renewed his motion that HF170 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.


Representative Johnson moved adoption of the February 12, 2010 minutes.
THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Representative Masin assumed the Chair.

Representative Johnson moved approval of HF2639 be recommended to pass and sent to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF2639 (Johnson) authorizing wireless telecommunications service providers to provide call locations for emergencies.

Representative Johnson renewed his motion that HF2639 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.
