COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Stephenson, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00PM on February 27, 2023 in Room 10 of the State Office Building. It was broadcast via House Public Information Services.

Vice Chair Kotyza-Witthuhn moved approval of the minutes from February 20, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1677 (Kraft); Insurance; network adequacy provided, and report required.

Representative Kraft moved that HF1677 be recommended to be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Kraft moved the H1677A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kraft presented HF1677, as amended.

HF1989 (Moller); Ticket sale disclosures required.

Vice Chair Kotyza-Witthuhn moved that HF1989 be recommended to be referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Stephenson moved the H1989DE3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Moller presented HF1989, as amended.

HF2000 (Stephenson); Sports betting authorized and provided, licenses established, local restrictions prohibited, sports betting taxation provided, civil and criminal penalties provided, amateur sports grants provided, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF2000 be recommended to be referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Stephenson presented HF2000.
