CHILDREN AND FAMILIES FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Dave Pinto, Chair of the Children and Families Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:33 A.M. on March 5th, 2023, in Room 200N of the State Office Building.

Representative Hicks moved that the minutes from February 29th, 2024 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Lee moved that the joint committee minutes from February 29th, 2024 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1661 (Hicks) Informal kinship caregiver support grant program established; financial support expanded for adoptive, foster, and kinship families; and money appropriated.

Representative Hicks moved HF1661 before the committee.

Representative Hicks moved the DE1 amendment, THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

AMENDMENTS: All amendments that are substantive must be given to the CA by 1:00 PM on the day prior to the committee hearing. This deadline may be waived at the discretion of the Chair.
