FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Rick Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on February 14, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved to approve the minutes from March 29, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Jordan moved to approve the minutes from October 23, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3466 (Rehm); Opportunities to protect native prairie expanded.

Chair Hansen moved that HF3466 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Jordan moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Rehm presented HF3466, as amended.

Testifying on the bill:

• David Ruff, Conservation Program Manager, The Nature Conservancy

Chair Hansen renewed the motion that HF3466, as amended, be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3376 (Greenman); Digital image use as proof of possession of game and fish licenses allowed.

Representative Jordan moved that HF3376 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Representative Greenman presented HF3376.

Representative Jordan renewed the motion that HF3376 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

Vice Chair Jordan assumed the gavel at 3:19 P.M.

HF3377 (Hansen); Environment and natural resources trust fund; previous appropriations modified, and money appropriated.

Chair Hansen moved that HF3377 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Hansen presented HF3377.

Chair Hansen/ renewed the motion that HF3377 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
