FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Rick Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on April 3, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Pursell moved to approve the minutes from March 26, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4550 (Kozlowski); Task force established to advice commissioner of Pollution Control Agency on ways to increase recovery of critical materials from end-of-life products, and report required.

Chair Hansen moved that HF4550 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Chair Hansen moved to adopt the A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Kozlowski presented HF4550, as amended.

Chair Hansen renewed the motion that HF4550, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

Presentation of the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Recommendations for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
