HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:01 P.M. on March 5, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Lead Johnson moved that the minutes of February 28, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3591 (Agbaje) Tenants rights

Vice Chair Agbaje moved that HF 3591 be re-referred to Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Vice Chair Agbaje moved the HF 3591 DE3 amendment for adoption. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3350 (Stephenson), Limiting rent increases on certain low-income senior housing

Chair Howard moved that HF 3350 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Chair Howard renewed the motion that HF 3350 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy omnibus bill. The bill is laid over.

HF3800 (Norris), Organization of housing cooperative statutes.

Rep. Norris moved that HF 3800 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Rep. Norris moved the A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT IS ADOPTED.
