HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:08 P.M. on March 12, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Lead Johnson moved that the minutes of March 6, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4569 (Howard) Wage theft prevented and use of responsible contractors required when Minnesota Housing Finance Agency provides financial assistance for development of multiunit residential housing.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4569 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Howard renewed the motion that HF 4569 be re-referred to Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4271 (Howard), Housing and redevelopment authorities authorized to create public corporations for the purpose of purchasing, owning, and operating properties converted under the federal Rental Assistance Demonstration program.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4271 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.
