HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on March 13, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Lead Johnson moved that the minutes of March 12, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4271 (Howard) Housing and redevelopment authorities authorized to create public corporations for the purpose of purchasing, owning, and operating properties converted under the federal Rental Assistance Demonstration program.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4271 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4271 A2 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Howard renewed the motion that HF 4271 as amended, be recommended to be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4555 (Howard), Maintenance of effort condition for receipt of local affordable housing aid imposed.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4555 be re-referred to the Taxes Committee.

HF 4735 (Howard), Housing provisions modified.


Chair Howard moved that HF 4735 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy omnibus bill.
