HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Michael Howard, Chair of the Committee on Housing Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:04 P.M. on March 19, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Lead Johnson moved that the minutes of March 13, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4194 (Howard) Housing infrastructure bonds eligible uses expanded, and additional housing infrastructure bonds issuance authorized.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4194 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4194 A1 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Howard renewed the motion that HF 4194 as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Housing Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF 4819 (Howard), Eligible uses of housing infrastructure bonds expanded, recapitalization provided, housing infrastructure program prior appropriation amended, task forces established, and reports required.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4819 be re-referred to the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Howard moved that HF 4819 A2 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
