HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:01 PM on February 22nd, 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Vice Chair Bahner moved that the minutes of February 20th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presenter:
• Jeremy Drucker, Director, and Assistant Commissioner

HF2000 Stephenson- Sports betting authorized and provided, licenses established, local restrictions prohibited, sports betting taxation provided, civil and criminal penalties provided, amateur sports grants provided, reports required, and money appropriated.

Chair Noor moved that HF2000 be referred to the Committee on State and Local Government Finance & Policy.
Chair Noor moved the A18 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Stephenson presented HF2000.

Testifiers:
• Susan Sheridan Tucker, Executive Director of Minnesota Alliance on Problem Gambling

Chair Noor renewed his motion that HF2000 as amended by the A18 amendment be referred to the Committee on State and Local Government Finance & Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:31PM.
