HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Mohamud Noor, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Finance, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on March 14th , 2024, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Quam moved that the minutes of March 12th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Gavel moved at 1:02pm.

HF3642(Noor)- Short-term medical assistance enrollment assistance established, and medical assistance coverage for prerelease care transition services to incarcerated individuals established.

Vice Chair Bahner moved HF3642 before the committee.

Vice Chair Bahner moved the DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Noor presented HF3642 as amended before the committee.

Vice Chair Bahner moved for HF3642 as amended to be laid over. The bill is laid over.

Gavel moved back to Chair Noor at 1:17pm.

HF4158(Hicks): Medical assistance modified for employed persons with disabilities.

Chair Noor moved that HF4158 be referred to Ways & Means.

Representative Hicks presented HF4158 before the committee.

Chair Noor renewed his motion to refer HF4158 to Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4422(Hemmingsen-Jaeger)- Assisted living director qualifications and ongoing training requirements modified.

Chair Noor moved HF4422 before the committee.

Chair Noor moved that HF4422 be referred to the Committee on Health Finance & Policy

Chair Noor moved the A1 amendment to HF4422. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hemmingsen-Jaeger presented HF4422 as amended before the committee.

Testifiers:
• Steve Jobe, Executive Director for the Board of Executives for Long Term Services and Supports

Chair Noor renewed his motion that HF4422 as amended be referred to the Committee on Health Finance & Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
