Representative Peter Fischer, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Policy, called the meeting to order at 1:00 PM on March 15, 2023, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.?

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.?

Representative Baker moved that the minutes from March 8, 2023, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1596 (Reyer) PACE program funding mechanism established, and money appropriated.

Representative Edelson moved that HF 1596 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Human Services Finance Committee.

Representative Edelson presented HF 1596.

Representative Edelson renewed the motion that HF 1596 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Human Services Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1298 (Edelson) Essential community supports modified, respite service grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Edelson moved that HF 1298 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Human Services Finance Committee.

Representative Edelson moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Edelson presented HF 1298 as amended.

HF 2552 (Edelson) Eligibility for recovery community organizations modified, Minnesota Board of Recovery Services created, rulemaking authority provided, and application fee established.

Representative Edelson moved that HF 2552 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Human Services Finance Committee.

Representative Frederick moved that HF 1494 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Human Services Finance Committee.

Representative Frederick moved the DE2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
