HUMAN SERVICES POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Peter Fischer, Chair of the Committee on Human Services Policy called the meeting to order at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 in room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF 1683 (Bierman) Mental health services eligibility and rates modified.

Rep. Bierman explained HF 1683 and the DE3 Author’s Amendment.

Chair Fischer moved that HF1683, as amended, be laid over. THE BILL, AS AMENDED, WAS LAID OVER.


HF 4692 (Noor) Direct Care and Treatment agency established, date for transfer of authority and responsibility modified, board membership qualifications, procedures, powers, and duties established, chief executive officer powers and duties established; accounts established, and other agency provisions modified.

Rep. Noor moved that HF 4692 be referred to the Human Services Finance Committee.

Rep. Noor moved the A1 Authors Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4981 (Her) Establishing Medical Assistance rate adjustments for physician and professional services, increasing rates for certain residential services, requiring a statewide reimbursement rate for behavioral health home services, appropriating money

Chair Fischer moved that HF 4981 be referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

Rep. Her explained the bill.
