JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on March 5, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Frazier moved that the minutes of February 29, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 4153 (Curran) Landlords required to disclose that an assistance animal is not subject to a pet fee.

Representative Curran moved that HF 4153 be recommended to be re-referred to the Housing Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Curran presented HF 4153.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 3470 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H3456A6 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 3473 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H3473DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 2309 be recommended to be re-referred to the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the H2309A5 amendment.

Chair Becker-Finn moved an oral amendment to the H2309A5 amendment, as below:
on line 1.21 of the A5 amendment, delete “know” and insert “knows”
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.
