JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on March 7, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Feist moved that the minutes of March 5, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3589 (Agbaje) In rem jurisdiction clarified for judicial proceedings.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 3589 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Agbaje presented HF 3589.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 4483 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Becker-Finn moved the A24-0221 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Curran moved that HF 4326 be recommended to be re-referred to the Public Safety Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Curran moved the H4326A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 3874 be recommended to be re-referred to the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Hansen presented HF 3874.

Representative Scott moved the H3874A1 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.
