EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Cheryl Youakim, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10: 33 AM on March 30, 2023, in Room 120 of the Capitol Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistance noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes from March 29th, 2023, with a technical correction, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Clardy assumed the gavel.

HF 2497(Youakim) Omnibus Education bill.

Chair Youakim moved HF 2497 before the committee.

Chair Youakim moved the DE 1 amendment.

Chair Youakim moved the A8 amendment. THE MOTION PREVIALED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pryor moved the A7 amendment. THE MOTION PREVIALED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Edelson moved the A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVIALED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Edelson moved the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Pryor moved the A4 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Youakim renewed the motion to adopt the DE 1 amendment as amended. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Kresha moved the DE 3 amendment. Representative Kresha moved for a roll call vote.

NOTE: A DE Amendment to HF 2497 (Youakim) that will serve as the House Omnibus Education Finance bill will be posted on Monday March 27th.
