EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Cheryl Youakim, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:35 AM on March 7, 2024, in Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes from March 6th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation on Career and Technical Education Consortiums.

Representative Bennett moved HF 3983 before the committee.
Representative Bennett moved the DE 2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Bennett presented HF 3983, as amended.

Chair Youakim moved that HF 3983, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the final omnibus bill.
HF 3492 (Lee, L.) Computer Science education advancement program modified, grants established to expand computer science education programs, reports required, and money appropriated.
Chair Youakim moved HF 3492 before the committee.
Representative Lee, L. presented HF 3492.
