EDUCATION FINANCE COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Cheryl Youakim, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:33 AM on March 14, 2024, in Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Jordan moved that the minutes from March 14th, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3744 (Edelson) Read Act amended, working group established, supplemental funding provided, reports required, and money appropriated.

Representative Edelson moved HF 3744 before the committee.

Representative Edelson moved DE 8 before the committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Edelson presented HF 3744, as amended.

Chair Youakim moved that HF 4827 be referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 4828 (Youakim) Definition of adjusted general revenue modified.
Chair Youakim moved HF 4828 before the committee.

Chair Youakim moved that HF 4828 be referred to the Committee on Taxes. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
