EDUCATION POLICY MINUTES

Representative Josiah Hill, Vice Chair of the Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:48 PM on February 28, 2024 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Frazier moved that the minutes from February 21, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3782 (Pryor); Provisions related to prekindergarten through grade 12 education including general education, education excellence, teachers, literacy, charter schools, nutrition, health and safety, early learning, and education partnerships and compacts modified; and reports required.

Chair Pryor moved that HF3782 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Chair Pryor moved the H3782A3 amendment.

Testimony on the H3782A3 amendment:
• Megan Arriola, Legislative Coordinator, Minnesota Department of Education
Vice Chair Hill renewed the motion to adopt the H3782A3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Pryor presented HF3782 as amended.
