EDUCATION POLICY MINUTES

Representative Josiah Hill, Vice Chair of the Committee on Education Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on March 19, 2024 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Frazier moved that the minutes from March 13, 2024, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3782 (Pryor); A bill for an act relating to education; requiring state academic standards in health education; requiring rulemaking; appropriating money.

Chair Pryor presented the DE2 amendment to HF3782.

HF4159 (Hicks); Teacher preparation programs required to provide instruction on ableism and disability justice, teacher license renewal requirements modified, and money appropriated.

Vice Chair Hill moved that HF4159 be laid over for further consideration.

Representative Hicks presented HF4159.
