Rules and Legislative Administration Committee Minutes

Representative Jamie Long, Chair of the Committee on Rules and Legislative Administration, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:00 am on June 7, 2023, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

Vice Chair Hollins moved the minutes from Friday, May 19th. 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long moved the approval of 2023-R2A: Resolution on Leadership Compensation. Barb Juleich, Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Budget and Accounting of the Minnesota House of Representatives Budget and Accounting Department, testified on the Resolution. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Torkelson recused himself from the voice vote on the R2A Resolution.

Chair Long moved the approval of 2023-R3A: Resolution on Expense Reimbursement. Barb Juleich, Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Budget and Accounting of the Minnesota House of Representatives Budget and Accounting Department, testified on the Resolution.

Leader Demuth requested a roll call.

Chair Long moved the approval of 2023-R10A: Resolution on Administration of Education Programs. Barb Juleich, Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Budget and Accounting of the Minnesota House of Representatives Budget and Accounting Department, testified on the Resolution.

Chair Long moved the approval of 2023-P3G: Policy on Compensatory Time, Non-Exempt Overtime, and Timecard Policy. Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the Resolution. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair long moved the approval of 2023-R22: Resolution on Cash Out. Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the Resolution. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Long moved the approval of 2023-R15: Resolution on Compensation of House Employees. Kelly Knight, Director of Human Resources of the Minnesota House of Representatives Human Services Department, testified on the Resolution. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting adjourned at 10:35 am.
