FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Ginny Klevorn, Chair of the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Nash moved to approve the minutes from March 28, 2023. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation on the House budget proposal for FY 2024-25.

Presenting:
- Barb Juelich, Controller, Minnesota House of Representatives Budget and Accounting Office

HF1830 (Klevorn); Types of collateral the Executive Council may approve for deposit with commissioner of management and budget specified.

HF1830 was previously heard and amended on March 28, 2023.

Chair Klevorn brought HF1830 back before the committee.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF1826 as amended be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

- Judy Randall, Deputy Legislative Auditor, Office of the Legislative Auditor
- Steve Simon, Secretary of State, Minnesota Secretary of State

Chair Klevorn moved the H1830A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Klevorn presented HF1830 as amended.

Representative Nash moved the H1830A3 amendment.
