Representative Ginny Klevorn, Chair of the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 A.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Huot moved to approve the minutes from March 12, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4691 (Koegel); State required to indemnify Ramsey County and Ramsey County
Regional Railroad Authority for excess liability resulting from rail-related incidents
occurring at Union Depot in St. Paul.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF4691 be re-referred to the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Koegel presented HF4691.

Chair Klevorn moved the H4691A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF4515 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Hollins presented HF4515.

HF4231 (Sencer-Mura); Amortization of certain property uses authorized.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF4231 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State and Local Government Finance and Policy omnibus bill.

Chair Klevorn moved the H4231A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Sencer-Mura presented HF4231 as amended.

modified, and technical changes made.

Representative Nash moved that HF4507 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Anderson presented HF4507.

Representative Nash moved that HF4201 be re-referred to the Veterans and Military Affairs Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Schomacker presented HF4201.
