Representative Ginny Klevorn, Chair of the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:31 A.M. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Huot moved to approve the minutes from March 14, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF4043 (Agbaje); Allocation of incarcerated persons based on their last
known address in Minnesota required, and Department of Corrections required to collect
last residential address of an inmate before incarceration.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF4043 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Agbaje presented HF4043.

Chair Klevorn moved the H4043A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF4043 as amended be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3182 (Olson, L); Public employees insurance program modifications; Minnesota
insurance pool committee created, report required, and money appropriated.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF3182 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Olson presented HF3182.

Chair Klevorn moved the H3182DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying on the bill as amended:

Representative Konick moved that HF3182 as amended be re-referred to the Education Finance Committee.

Representative Koznick requested a roll call on HF3182.

Chair Klevorn moved that HF4553 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Tabke presented HF4553.

Chair Klevorn moved HF4552 – A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
