Representative Ginny Klevorn, Chair of the State and Local Government Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:33 A.M. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Huot moved to approve the minutes from March 21, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3345 (Jordan); Prohibition on banning merchant bags removed.

Chair Klevorn moved HF3345 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State and Local Government omnibus bill.

Representative Jordan presented HF3345.

Testifying on the bill:

Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF3345 be laid over for possible inclusion in the State and Local Government Finance and Policy omnibus. The bill was laid over.

HF4744 (Jordan); Hennepin County; majority vote required to approve budget.

Chair Klevorn moved HF4744 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Jordan presented HF4744.

powers and duties specified, implementation provided, reports required, and money
appropriated.

Chair Klevorn moved HF4025 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Chair Klevorn moved the H4025A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Koegel presented HF4025 as amended.

Chair Klevorn renewed the motion that HF4025 as amended be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
