PROPERTY TAX DIVISION MINUTES

Representative Dave Lislegard, Chair of the Division on Property Tax, called the meeting to order at 10:33 A.M. on March 13, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Gomez moved that the minutes of March 6, 2024, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Presentation on Property Tax Refund Provisions in the 2023 Tax Bill

Vice Chair Lee moved that HF 4494 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Wolgamott presented HF 4494.

Testifying on the bill:
• Dave Kleis, Mayor, City of Saint Cloud.
• Cathy Mehelich, Economic Development Director, City of Saint Cloud

Vice Chair Lee renewed her motion that HF 4494 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report. The bill was laid over.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 4771 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Acomb presented HF 4771.

Chair Lislegard renewed his motion that HF 4771 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report. The bill was laid over.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 4301 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Chair Lislegard moved the H4301A1 amendment for adoption.

Representative Gomez presented the H4301A1 amendment.

Chair Lislegard renewed the H4301A1 amendment for adoption. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Gomez presented HF 4301 as amended.

Chair Lislegard moved that HF 3460 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report.

Representative Coulter presented HF 3460.

Chair Lislegard renewed his motion that HF 3460 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Property Tax Division Report. The bill was laid over.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:32 A.M.
