WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

Representative Jay Xiong, Chair of the Workforce Development Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:32 AM on March 13, 2024, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

Rep. Hemmingsen-Jaeger moved that the minutes of March 13, 2023, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3446 (Berg); Unemployment insurance eligibility modified under conditions for applicants involved in a labor dispute.

Rep. Becker-Finn moved that HF 3446 be re-referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Rep. Becker-Finn moved to adopt the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF 3709 (Sencer-Mura); International Institute of Minnesota grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Rep. Sencer-Mura moved that HF 3709 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Workforce Development Finance and Policy Committee omnibus bill.

Rep. Sencer-Mura presented HF 3709.
