Representative Steve Smith, Chair of the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee, called the twenty-seventh meeting to order at 10:21 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Hilstrom moved approval of the minutes of March 15, 2005, Public Safety Policy and Finance Meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Meslow moved HF765 (Meslow) relating to motor vehicle license plate, title, and registration regulation exemptions provided for law enforcement agency vehicles involved in impaired driving offenses; and chemical test result certification procedures modified.

Rep. Meslow presented HF765.

Rep. Meslow moved to amend HF765 with the H0765DE3 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Meslow moved HF665 (Meslow) relating to Sunday service of legal process authorized.

Rep. Meslow renewed his motion to pass HF665 without recommendation to the Committee on Civil Law. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


Rep. Meslow moved HF741 (Meslow) relating to child abuse resulting in death crime expanded.
