MINUTES


Representative Steve Smith, Chair of the Public Safety Policy and Finance Committee, called the thirty-sixth meeting to order at 10:23 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2005 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Clerk noted the roll.

Rep. Newman assumed the Chair.

Rep. Smith moved HF1321(Smith) relating to Marriage dissolution, child custody, support, maintenance, and property law recodified and reformed; and money appropriated.

Rep. Smith, Rep. Eastlund and Rep. Mahoney presented HF1321.

Rep. Smith renewed his motion that HF1321 be recommended to pass and be referred to Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Eastlund moved HF1810 (Holberg) relating to comprehensive incident-based reporting system law enforcement data access and classification provided.

Rep. Eastlund moved to amend HF1810 with the H1810A2 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Holberg presented HF1810.

Rep. Eastlund laid HF1810 over for possible inclusion in the Public Safety Policy and Finance Omnibus Bill.

Rep. Eastlund moved HF2063 (Holberg) relating to commercial motor vehicle provisions modified including traffic regulations and driver's license provisions, identification card issuance prohibited to holder of permit, and driver's license classifications and restrictions modified.

Rep. Holberg presented HF2063.

Rep. Eastlund renewed his motion that HF2063 be recommended to pass and be referred to the Committee on Transportation Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Rep. Eastlund moved HF1993 (Powell) relating to Metropolitan Radio Board earlier responsibility transfer date provided.

Rep. Eastlund moved to amend HF1993 with the A05-0564 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
