Representative Tim Faust, Vice Chair of the Committee on Ways and Means, called the meeting to order on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 3:30 pm in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF354 (Hilstrom) Mortgage foreclosure proceedings on homestead property mediation provided prior to commencement, homestead-lender mediation account created, and money appropriated.
Representative Faust moved that HF354 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Hilstrom presented HF354.

Representative Hilstrom moved to amend HF354 as follows: on page 21, delete lines 21,10 through 21. 12.
THE MOTION PREVAILED THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Representative Faust renewed his motion that HF354 as amended pass and be placed on the General Register.

HF1805 (Atkins) Full-time firefighter licensing standards and fees established.
Representative Davids moved that HF1805 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Nelson moved that HF723 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register

Representative M. Murphy presented HF723.

Testifying on behalf of HF723 was Howard Bicker, Director of the State Investment Board.

Representative Nelson renewed his motion that HF723 pass and be placed on the General Register.

HF796 (Morrow) Minnesota First bond sale authorized.
Representative Faust moved that HF796 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Morrow presented HF796.

Representative Faust renewed his motion that HF796 pass and be placed on the General Register.

SF727 (Fritz) Self-advocacy program for persons with development disabilities; Advocating Change Together medical assistance (MA) services grant appropriation
Representative Faust moved that SF727 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.

Representative Faust renewed his motion that SF727 pass and be placed on the General Register.

HF1053 (Simon) Public officials required to provide additional data to the secretary of state for use in maintaining the voter registration system, and automatic voter registration of applicants for a driver's license, instruction permit, or identification card provided, and certain notice requirements changed
Representative Faust moved that HF1053 be recommended to pass and be placed on the General Register.
