MINUTES


Representative Karen Clark, Chair, called the fifteenth meeting to order at 10:33 a.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.


Representative Hayden moved that HF522 (Hayden), Bridges rental housing assistance program funding provided, and money appropriated, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Representative Hayden presented HF522.

Representative Hayden renewed the motion that HF522 (Hayden), Bridges rental housing assistance program funding provided, and money appropriated, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill. Hearing no objection, the bill was laid over.

Chair Benson assumed the gavel at 10:45 a.m.

Chair Benson moved that HF293 (Ruud), Colorectal cancer screening provided for the uninsured, and money appropriated, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Representative Ruud presented HF293.

Chair Benson moved to amend HF293. (See attached amendment H0293DE2). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Linda Roberts, Women’s Health Case Manager, Indian Health Board

Representative Howes moved an oral amendment to HF293 as amended as follows:

Page 2, line 2.19 After "abnormal"
Delete "tests"

Page 2, line 2.19 After "abnormal"
Insert "test results"

THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Benson renewed the motion that HF293 as amended be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill. Hearing no objection the bill was laid over.

Chair Clark assumed the gavel at 11:17 p.m.

Chair Clark moved that HF113 (Dean), Professional education loan forgiveness program expanded for child mental health professionals, and money appropriated, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill.

Representative Dean presented HF113.

Chair Clark renewed the motion that HF113 (Dean), Professional education loan forgiveness program expanded for child mental health professionals, and money appropriated, be laid over for possible inclusion to an omnibus bill. Hearing no objection, the bill was laid over.

Representative Morgan moved that the minutes of March 4, 2009 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE MINUTES WERE ADOPTED.
