Representative Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation and Transit Policy and Oversight Division, called the meeting to order at 1:04 P.M. on Wednesday, March 11 2009 in Room 5 of the State Office Building. The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.
A quorum was present.
HF672 (Dettmer) Freeway shoulders use authorized by transit and metro mobility buses.
Rep. Hornstein moved the bill and adoption of the A09-0083
amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. Rep. Hornstein moved that HF672, as amended, be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1047 (Hornstein) Statewide goals amended for reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Lynne Bly of Fresh Energy, spoke in favor of the bill. Meghan McDaniel, Flint Hills Resources, spoke in opposition to the bill. Rep. Hornstein moved that HF1047 be recommended to pass and rereferred to the Environment Policy Committee. Rep. Davids requested a roll call vote on passage of the bill.
