MINUTES


Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Division, called the seventh meeting to order at 10:33 A.M. on, March 6, 2009, in the 200 hearing room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davnie called the meeting to order at 10:33 A.M. A quorum was present.


Representative Davnie moved approval of HF1048 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF1048 (Brynart) Eligibility for benefits under certain training programs provided.


A handout was given to division members:
"Minnesota’s Renewable Energy Marketplace - An Alliance for Talent Development"

Representative Davnie renewed his motion that HF1048 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.


Representative Davnie moved approval of HF903 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF903 (Mullery) Foreclosure consultant provisions modified.

Representative Davnie moved approval of amendment A09-0078.
The amendment was adopted.


Representative Davnie renewed his motion that HF903 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to Commerce and Labor committee.
The motion prevailed.

Representative Davnie moved approval of HF914 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF914 (Davnie) Payday lending regulated, penalties and remedies provided.

Representative Fritz moved approval of HF250 be recommended to pass and sent to the Commerce and Labor committee.

HF250 (Knuth) Children's health protected from toxic chemicals in products, disclosure required by manufacturers of children's products that contain chemicals of high concern, Pollution Control Agency authorized to designate priority chemicals and safer alternative replacement required, exemption process provided, clearinghouse participation authorized, and legislative reports required.


Representative Fritz moved approval of amendment H0250DE5.
The amendment was adopted.


Representative Fritz moved approval of amendment H0250A3The amendment was incorporated.

HF1056 (Howes) Construction subcontractors prompt payment required.

Representative Nelson moved adoption of the February 27, 2009 minutes.
