Representative Kent Eken, Chair of the Environment Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 4:39 PM, on March 16, 2010, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Gardner moved that the minutes from March 11, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Eken moved HF2634 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register.

HF2634-Kalin
Mt. Simon-Hinckley aquifer water appropriation prohibitions expanded

Chair Eken moved the A10-2330 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Eken renewed the motion that HF2634, as amended, be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Lake of the Woods; Lake of the Woods Water Sustainability Foundation referred by the Minnesota Legislature to the International Joint Commission for examination and report

Chair Eken renewed the motion that HF 353 be recommended to pass and referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Hackbarth moved HF3190 be recommended to pass and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Off-highway vehicle seasons modified, off-highway vehicle youth operation requirements modified, and nonresident all-terrain vehicle state trail pass modified

Representative Hackbarth moved the A10-2380 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAEILED.

Indian tribal governments exempted from registering or licensing watercraft, off-highway vehicles, and snowmobiles
