Representative Paul Thissen, Chair of the Health Care and Human Services Policy and Oversight Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:55 P.M. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mack moved that the minutes of March 10, 2010 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1680 (Clark) Minnesota legislature resolved to apologize on behalf of citizens of the state to all persons with mental illness and development and other disabilities who have been wrongfully committed to state institutions.

Representative Thissen moved that HF1680 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Thissen renewed his motion that HF1680 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3212 (Simon) Continuing education requirements exception provided for licensed professional counselors.

Representative Thao moved that DH3212CR1, the HF3212 division report, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Thao moved that CEH3212-1 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Thissen moved to amend CEH3212-1 as follows:

Representative Thissen moved that HF2450 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the General Register.

HF3634 (Kulick Jackson) Chiropractor license revocation required for chiropractors convicted of a felony-level criminal sexual conduct offense.

Representative Abeler moved to amend HF3634 as follows:

Representative Thissen moved that HF3252 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the Committee on Finance.

HF3442(Hosch) Personal care assistance requirements modified, nursing assistant requirements modified, housing modified with service registration fees and other license fees, long-term care transitional assistance required, customized living services modified, housing with services modified, and nursing facility rate changed.

Representative Thissen moved that HF3442 be re-referred to the Committee on Finance but without further recommendation.
