MINUTES

Representative Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:33 p.m. on February 28, 2012, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Mazorol moved to approve the minutes for February 22, 2012. The motion prevailed.

Representative Hoppe moved HF2152 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Vogel introduced HF2152.

Paul Eger from Minnesota Association of Realtors testified.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion. The motion prevailed.

Representative Sanders moved HF1998 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.

Representative Loon moved HF2441 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Loon moved amendment H2441A1. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Representative Loon renewed her motion that HF2441 be recommended to pass as amended and re-referred to the General Register. The motion prevailed.

Representative Hoppe moved HF2463.

Representative LeMieur introduced HF2463 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety.

Sarah Psick from MN Licensed Beverage Association testified.

Representative Hoppe renewed his motion. The motion prevailed.

Representative Daudt moved HF2307 and recommended that it be passed and re-referred to the General Register.

Elaine Love from Farmers Insurance testified.

Doug Franzen from Property Casualty Insurers Association of America testified.

Representative Daudt renewed his motion. The motion prevailed.

The chair adjourned the meeting at 3:10 pm.

  • HF2307 (Daudt) - Guaranty association coverage written disclosure permitted when a policy is delivered, and access expanded to accident reports to include all parties involved.
