Representative Torkelson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 8, 2011 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
James Nobles, Legislative Auditor and John Yunker, Project Manager for the Office of the Legislative Auditor presented a report on Natural Resource Land.
Dave Schad, Deputy Commissioner for the Department of Natural Resources and Bob Meier, special assistant to the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources for legislative affairs, gave an overview of the Department's land holdings.
Rep. Torkelson assumed the gavel at 9:00 a.m.
Rep. McNamara assumed the gavel at 903 a.m.
H.F. 498 (Cornish) No net loss of state hunting land.
Representative Cornish presented H.F. 498
Dell Erickson, citizen, and Doug Peterson, President of the Farmer’s Union testified on H.F. 498.
Chair McNamara laid H.F. 498 over.
H.F. 332 (Drazkowski) State-owned land acreage net increase prohibited.
Representative Drazkowski presented H.F. 332.
Rich Sve, Lake County Commissioner, and Wade Pavleck, Koochiching County Commissioner gave testimony on H.F. 332.
Chair McNamara laid H.F. 332 over.
