MINUTES
Representative Peppin Chair of the Government Operations and Elections Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

H.F. 786 (Davids) Charitable organization financial statement requirements for highest paid individuals modified, and compensation information reporting consistency provided for federal and state purposes.
Representative Simon moved that H.F. 786 be recommended to pass and placed on the General Register.
Representative Simon moved the
H0786A1 amendment to H.F. 786. THE MOTION PREVAILED, AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

H.F. 864 (Peppin) Commissioner of Revenue authorized to enter into a reciprocal agreement with the federal government for collection of unpaid debts.
Representative Peppin moved that H.F. 864 be recommended to pass and re-referred to State Government Finance.

H.F. 199 (Gottwalt) Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act; freedom of choice in health care for every resident of Minnesota declared, and statement of public policy provided.
Representative Quam moved that H.F. 199 be recommended to pass and re-referred to the State Government Finance Committee.

Page 1, Line 1.19, insert "the official must prevent invalid absentee ballots from entering or exiting the correctional facility" after the word "notice"
THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL, AND THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.
Representative Nelson renewed his motion that H.F. 718 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Judiciary Policy and Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND H.F. 718 WAS RECOMMENDED TO PASS, AS AMENDED, AND RE-REFERRED TO THE JUDICIARY POLICY AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
