MINUTES

Representative Lesch, Chair of Committee on Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 9:10 AM on Friday, February 1, 2013 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chairman Lesch moved minutes January 29, 2013 minutes. Motion prevailed.

HF5 (Atkins) Minnesota Insurance Marketplace established, powers and duties prescribed, legislative appointments provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Atkins presented his bill.

Chairman Lesch moved HF5 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Policy.

Chairman Lesch moved the H0005A51 amendment, an author's amendment, to HF 5. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Holberg moved the H0005A41 amendment to HF 5.

Representative Holberg to withdraw the amendment H0005A41 to be heard in the Data Practices Subcommittee.

Representative Pugh moved the H0005A43 amendment to HF 5. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Holberg moved the H0005A53 amendment to HF5. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Holberg moved the H0005A49 amendment to HF 5.

Representative Atkins moved to orally the H0005A49 amendment. On line 1.12 strike the word "explicitly". THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott moved H0005A52 amendment to HF 5.

Representative Scott requested a roll call.
