MINUTES

Representative Lesch, Chair of Committee on Civil Law, called the meeting to order at 8:25 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Rosenthal moved to approve minutes from March 18, 2014. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF2687 (Hilstrom) District judge disposition monthly review authorized for compliance with 90-day disposition requirement.

Representative Hilstrom moved to re-refer HF2687 to the General Register.

Representative Hilstrom moved to amend HF2687 (See attached A14-0922). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Lesch moved that the committee approve the substance of the data practices matters contained in HF2569.

Representative Yarusso moved HF2142 be re-refer to the General Register.

Representative Yarusso moved an oral amendment to HF2142 as follows:
Page 2, line 2, strike “or after”
Page 2, line 1, insert “five digit” between “and” and “zip”.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE ORAL AMENDMENTS WERE APPROVED.

Page 1, line 9, between “by” and “including”, insert “a natural person by”
Page 1, line 10, between “beneficiaries” and “to”, insert “who are natural persons”.

Chair Lesch renewed the motion to move HF1302, as amended, be re-refer to the Taxes Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2413 (Schoen) Sales representative agreement practices prohibited.

Representative Winkler moved HF2413 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Schoen presented HF2413.

Representative Winkler renewed his motion to re-refer HF2413 to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2307 (Schoen) Drug and alcohol overdose prevention and medical assistance provided, and liability limited.

The committee went into recess at 9:45 AM.

The committee reconvened at 7:30 PM.

Representative Liebling moved an amendment to HF2307 (See attached A14-0916). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Liebling moved an oral amendment to HF2005 as follows:
Strike Page 9, lines 4 to 7 and lines 24 to 26.
THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Liebling renewed her motion to move HF2005, as amended, to the Committee on Health and Human Services Policy. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
