ENERGY POLICY COMMITTEE
MINUTES

Representative Melissa Hortman, Chair of the Energy Policy Committee, called the twentieth meeting to order at 12:33 P.M. on, March 18, 2013, in room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Representative Atkins explained the bill.

HF255 (Atkins) Commissioner of commerce directed to assess federal progress in developing a permanent repository for high-level radioactive waste, reports required, and actions to be taken specified by commissioner of commerce and Public Utilities Commission.

Testifying on the bill:
Terry Pickens, Director of Nuclear Power, Xcel Energy


Representative Hortman moved that HF1205 be passed and sent to the General Register.

HF1205 (Anderson, S.) Transmission lines assessment of need and routing regulated.

Representative Hortman moved and oral amendment, on line 1.15 after feasible insert
", cost-effective".
The oral amendment is incorporated.





Representative Hortman renewed her motion that HF1205 as amended be passed and sent to the General Register.
The bill was passed. The motion prevailed.


The meeting adjourned at 1:35 P.M.
