MINUTES
Representative Lille, Vice Chair of the Legacy Committee, called the meeting to order at 2:17 P.M. on February 26, 2013 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 2:24 P.M.
Sheila Vanney, Assistant Director, Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts thanked the committee for its past support and said they look forward to more discussions in the future.
Lynnea Atlas-Ingebretson, Program Director, Legacy Advisory Committee, explained her background and gave an overview of the 25 Year Parks and Trails Legacy Plan.
Joe Bagnoli, appearing on behalf of the Parks and Trails Council, testified in support of the work group recommendations in the Parks and Trails Legacy Funding Project report.
Representative Freiberg moved that the minutes of February 20, 2013 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Erika Rivers, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Natural Resources (DNR) gave an overview of goals they hope to achieve with Legacy funding.
Emmett Mullin, Planner, DNR, gave an overview of the 25 Year Parks and Trails Legacy Plan and some of the issues that have come up while preparing the report.
Mary Vogel, Co-Director, Center for Changing Landscapes, University of Minnesota College of Design, gave a summary of the MN Network of Parks and Trails study she conducted.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:51 P.M.
