MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:23 A.M. on March 29, 2016 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 10:23 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Quam moved the minutes of March 24, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2540 (Sanders): Fantasy sports authorized

Representative Cornish moved HF2540 be referred to the General Register.

Representative Cornish moved the HF2540 A3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Cornish moved the following oral amendment: Remove Section 1. THE ORAL AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF3482 (Zerwas): Identity theft crimes statute of limitations expanded.

Representative Zerwas moved HF3482 be referred to the General Register.

HF2741 (Lesch): Civil cause of action for the nonconsensual dissemination of private sexual images and nonconsensual sexual solicitation created; stalking amended to include nonconsensual sexual solicitation, qualified domestic violence-related offense definition expanded; criminal penalties established, and law of criminal defamation clarified.

Representative Cornish moved HF2741 be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law and Data Practices.

Representative Cornish moved the HF2741 DE1-1 Amendment.

Representative Cornish moved the following oral amendment on the HF2741 DE1-1 Amendment: Delete new language on line 5.15, and to delete lines 8.30-8.32 and re-letter paragraph. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
