MINUTES

Representative Peggy Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20 AM, on March 8th, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Loonan moved to approve the minutes of March 6th, 2018.

HF2815 (Green) Misrepresenting an animal as a service animal made a crime.

Representative Scott moved that HF2815 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety.

Representative Scott moved the HF2815A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF2815 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2982 (Hamilton) University of Minnesota agricultural research data classified.

Representative Howe moved that HF2982 be re-referred to the General Register.

Representative Lesch offered an oral amendment to the HF2985A1 amendment. Page 1, line 4, delete "or" and insert "and". THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Lesch moved the HF2985A1 amendment, as amended. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hilstrom offered an oral amendment, page 2, line 1, after "The Department of Agriculture" insert "or the University of Minnesota" and page 2, line 2, after "The Department of Agriculture" insert "or the University of Minnesota". The amendment was adopted.

Representative Howe renewed his motion that HF2982 be re-referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3259 (Scott) Mandatory biennial audits of automatic license plate reader and police body camera data modified.

Representative Scott moved that HF3259 be re-referred to the Committee on Public Safety.

Representative Scott laid the bill over.
