MINUTES

Representative Nash, Vice Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:02 PM, February 22, 2017 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Green moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on February 16, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Nash moved that HF 409 come before the committee.

HF 409 (Albright) - Long-term equity investment authority provided.

Representative Nash moved the HO409A5 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The following testified on HF 409, as amended:

Doug Anderson, Executive Director of the Public Employee Retirement Association

Representative Anderson assumed the gavel at 1:04 PM.

Representative Anderson moved that HF 409, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

HF 409, as amended, was laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Anderson moved that HF 1010 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

HF 1010 (Loonan) - Minnesota Racing Commission ongoing operation provided.

Representative Kunesh-Podein moved the H1010DE1 amendment.

Representative Kunesh-Podein moved to include the following oral amendment to the H1010DE1 amendment: On page 1, strike line 1.2. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

The following testified on the H1010DE1 amendment:
Richard Kolodzieyski, Public Affairs and Communications Director for the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees
Julie Bleyhl, AFSCME Council

Representative Anderson moved to include the following oral amendment to the H1010DE1 amendment, as amended: On page 1 on line 6 include “95% of’ between “at” and “the”. THE AMENDMENT TO THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Anderson moved the H1010DE1 amendment, as amended. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Anderson renewed her motion that HF1010, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

HF101, as amended, was laid over for possible inclusion in the State Government Finance omnibus bill.

The meeting was adjourned at 1:57 PM.
