MINUTES

Representative Drazkowski, Chair of the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Committee, officially called the meeting to order at 5:04pm on April 12th, 2018 in room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Carlson moved the minutes from April 11th be approved. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF2754 (Nornes) Perham; local sales and use tax authorized.

Representative Neu moved that HF2754 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Neu renewed her motion that HF2754 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3086 (Sundin) Cloquet; local sales tax authority modified.

Representative Loeffler moved that HF3086 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Nelson moved that HF4034 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Nelson moved the HF4034A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nelson offered the following oral amendment: P.1, L. 1.17, insert “2019” in the blank area. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Nelson renewed his motion that HF4034, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2663 (Hamilton) City imposition of local sales tax allowed.

Representative Rarick moved that HF2663 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Rarick moved the HF2663A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Youakim moved that HF3006 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Whelan moved the HF2923A18-0758 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Franke moved the HF3300A1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Represented Carlson, A. moved that HF4218 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus bill.

Representative Loeffler moved the HF3431A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
