MINUTES

Representative Hansen, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 12:47 P.M. on February 26th, 2019, in Hearing Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hansen called the meeting to order at 12:47 P.M. A quorum was present at 12:49 P.M.

Representative Fischer moved to approve the minutes of February 21st, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF133 (Becker-Finn) No child left inside grant program established, and money appropriated.

Chair Hansen moved to lay over HF133 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.

Representative Becker-Finn moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PRVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying on HF133:
Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner, Department of Natural Resources

Representative Becker-Finn renewed the motion to lay over HF133 for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.

HF266 (Freiberg) Local inflow and infiltration reduction program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Hansen moved HF266 to be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means with recommended referral to the Legacy Finance Division.

Chair Hansen renewed the motion that HF266 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means with recommended referral to the Legacy Finance Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The Department of Natural Resources presented the Governor’s budget recommendations for the agency. The presenters were:
Sarah Strommen, Commissioner
Mary Robison, Chief Financial Officer
Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner
Erika Rivers, Parks and Trails Division Director
Steve Colvin, Ecological and Water Resources Division Director

The meeting was adjourned at 2:17 P.M.
