MINUTES


Representative Lesch, Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:45am on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Lesch began the meeting at 9:45 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Johnson moved the minutes from January 17, 2019 for approval. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Committee passed on voice vote.

Guardian Ad Litem Board began presentation.

Tax Court Overview began presentation.

HF 51 (Davnie) Statutory form for making declarations about restrictive covenants prohibited under state and federal law.

Representative Noor motioned for HF 51 to be placed on the General Register.

Representative Noor moved the HF 51 A3 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Davnie presented HF 51 A3 to the committee.

Testifiers on HF51A3:
Kevin Ehrman-Solberg, Mapping Prejudice Project, University of Minnesota

Representative Noor renewed his motion to refer HF 51 A3, as amended, to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:10am.
