MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance Committee meeting to order at 8:00 AM, April 16, 2020 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Klevorn assumed the gavel at 8:02 AM.

Representative Acomb moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 12, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved HF3499.

HF3499 (Nelson, M.); Transferring and appropriating money for the purpose of the Help America Vote Act.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H3499A3.

The following testified on Amendment H3499A3:
The Honorable Steve Simon, Minnesota Secretary of State
Debby Erickson, Chair, Minnesota Association of County Officers

Chair Nelson renewed the motion to adopt Amendment H3499A3.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

With 17 AYES and 1 NAY, THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Nelson moved Amendment H3499A4.
